So the snow early this week inspired me to get out the nativity sets. (And put the Christmas music back on my iPod.) We have two nativity sets. One fancy. One Little People. The fancy one is behind glass so the kids can’t carry the pieces around and lose them. The Little People one is very accessible and has been a hit from the moment I pulled it out of the box. The other Little People have come over to visit. And a very nice lady took Baby Jesus for a spin in the minivan. Currently the People are on parade and Baby Jesus is getting a ride on Mary’s head. Gotta love Christmas!

That’s exactly how our Woodstock-type “concert” in the den…starring the Wise Man… started out. It was small, and then it grew and grew. Its now over 200 and I need crowd control officers!
But its a beautiful thing to see their minds work. Maybe there’s some special magic in nativity sets?
Parades are a BIG thing in our house. And lectures. Or at least that’s what I imagine they are when he has all of his people arranged in a semi-circle with his letter blocks spelled out in front of them and he is happily vocalizing something only they understand.
