After another meltdown on arriving at school today and requesting, “Want J!” over and over again, we decided that it may be best if Christian would ride the bus to school, too.  I think he somehow got the idea in his mind that if we are heading into town, we are going to go see his OT, JM, at the hospital.  We will have a social story about riding the bus and not start next week, but the following.  I hope that with the aid of a social story he will be OK with this new idea.  I wish that he didn’t have to have such a long bus ride, but he will be the first one on and the last one off.  He does like the bus, however, and I think he needs to just separate the idea of me from school and when I do pick him up from school then we WILL go to OT.  I hope this will help him out in the long run.  I just feel so badly for him that he wants (and I think needs) OT that much!  (I have been trying to increase the amount of OT related activities that I do with him during the day, but I just don’t think that is enough for him and I think he actually just misses seeing JM.)
